There are virtually unlimited ways to use a blog in the education arena. Teacher education and teaching in general are the areas these comments focus. For teacher education, a blog provides an excellent format for students to collaborate. Students can view other classmate's post, discuss them, make suggestions, and in some ways debate the views with submissions of their own. Teachers across a school system, region, or even nationally can use this tool to collaborate with one another. They need to be careful about what information they post, but they can definitely speak to one another about classroom experiences. Blogs are excellent tools to broadcast the latest discovery in any classroom. You can share the information learned immediately allowing other schools, students, and teachers the ability to work on the same information. Teachers can share lesson plans with one another and their own reflection from teaching that lesson. Students can use the blog to mentor one another. All parties can use a blog as their own journal. The items discussed are just a few ways to use a blog. There truly are unlimited options in using a blog.
